This book adds skills to the law unit studnets undertake in their first year .Happy to commend it
Excellent resource and students will find the content very accessible and useful throughout the their studies and well into their qualified practice.
Very useful to have a book pulling together law in relation to children, young people and social work. Thank you. I will use as a referernce for students on placement.
A useful text for both pre and post qualified. Provides case studies which assist students to understand links between legislation and practice.
This has been recommended as supplementary reading for the level 4 students. This book refers to the PCF so is very current and offers the students case studies which are particularly valuable for the level 4 students to support their integration to practice.
This is a beautifully written book, with clear and concise language. As the English law is lightly different to Irish law, I can only recommend this to my students as supplemental reading.
I have recommended this to a colleague who teaches children and families and direct work with children.
A use core text for social work students makes links between social work and legislation a useful generic book for the 2nd year teaching
Some good points made that will support students developing a relevant knowledge.
For those students looking to go on to the Masters in SW this is a great text.
