Another really useful book from Francis and Gould for anyone new to teaching in adult and further education. It is mapped directly to the assessment requirements for the new award in education and training, with a very clear structure and plenty of guidance and suggestions throughout. We have been using the series of textbooks produced by these authors for at least ten years now as they continually come out top in student preference evaluations.
This is a comprehensive text book that supports Award in Education. It has great ideas for resources, strategies and approaches that are not only good for Award students but those who progress to further teacher training courses.

A clear and accessible book that covers all major topics of the course. It has a very clear layout and style. It has a very practical approach to teaching which should be very useful to those new to the profession.
This book is an easy read due to it being well laid out and having lots of good teaching points. It covers all the learning points required for the new level 3 Award in Teaching and Training and is a must read for anyone teaching in the FE and skills sector and Adult learning.
A difficult choice between this and Ann Gravels so we bought a selection of each and let students take the one that they considered best met their reading and study styles. Equally positive and complimentary feedback on both books, with AG book better answering the assessment tasks! But a great read and useful reference.

This book is an excellent complement to the Award course (and I have also recommended it for the Level 4 Certificate learners.) It is clear, well-organised and full of practical tips and strategies.
A great book though very similar to Francis's PTLLS book she co-wrote with Jim Gould. If you don't have the PTLLS book and you are doing the AET, then it's definitely worth buying.
