To be recommended as a comprehensive textbook on the subject for all EY specialists. Ann Browne is a very accessible, well organised and authoritative writer who explores the issues of early learning and the ways in which children can be supported by adults
The is a very accessible book for undergraduate students. It is similar in many ways to Ann Browne's other book "Developing Language and Literacy 3-8" but it has some useful additional chapters. The chapter on assessment is particularly interesting.
