This is an interesting and engaging book, which attempts to cover a broad context. However as someone who is teaching African students in the UK and in Africa there is little in there that offers direct case studies, cultural illustrations or anything that would resonate with my sub-Saharan students. I understand the priority given to the BRIC countries, but it would be good to see efforts made to diversify the content somewhat. Having said that, it absolutely features the key models and approaches I would expect, is clear, accessible and informative.
