Policy, political and practice contexts
"Essential for pre registration nursing students who wish to explore and understand the context in which health care is delivered" - Lecturer, Swansea University.
This book may form a good resource for third year nursing students during their dissertation module.
The book is also valuable for any lecturer involved in the teaching of the ethics and politics of nursing.
Useful resource for teaching staff, perhaps less likely to be accessed by students unless well motivated.
Used in the second and third years as background information for their assignments.
for reference only. too superfical in detail on each topic.
This is an excellent introduction to the complexity of contemporary nursing practice. It is a particularly useful resource for first year students of nursing but students at all levels will find individual chapters helpful. The quality of the presentation is such that students can easily and independently follow the learning activities, which are further supported by direction to other learning resources.
