Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is something that we care deeply about at SAGE. We are aware that the publishing industry, including SAGE, has much more work to do in order to better reflect the diversity of the world we seek to educate and inform.



SEND experts and authors of the essential guide to SEND legislation The SEND Code of Practice 0-25 Years: Policy, Provision and Practice provide a quick summary of the five biggest changes brought about by the 2014 SEND Code of Practice.
Sage was one of the first major publishers to embrace the open access mode of free access with licencing allowing liberal reuse of articles. Many funding bodies and institutions now require that the work they support is made publicly available through a suitable repository.
Sage has an agreement with National Institute of Technology Karnataka to publish articles open access. The agreement for participating organizations will run from April 01, 2024, through to March 31, 2025. The details of the agreement are as follows:
To qualify for the agreement, the corresponding author must be affiliated with National Institute of Technology Karnataka and have an article accepted for publication between April 01, 2024, and March 31, 2025.
Sage has an agreement with Midwest Collaborative for Library Services (MCLS) to publish articles open access. The agreement for participating organizations will run from January 01, 2022, through to December 31, 2025. The details of the agreement are as follows:
