Marcos V. O. Lopes, PhD, RN, is a nursing associate professor at the Federal University of Ceara. After completing his nursing degree, his postdoctoral work was in the analysis of nursing diagnoses using Bayesian inference at the University of Valencia, Spain. He is a statistician and nursing terminologies researcher. He acts as sentinel reader for evidence-based nursing in the project McMaster Online Rating of Evidence (MORE) from McMaster University, Canada. He is also a member elected to the Education and Research Committee of NANDA International (2014-2018) and a reviewer of important journals in Brazil, Latin America, and Europe, with extensive scientific production. His areas of interest are in nursing diagnoses, interventions and outcomes accuracy, differential validation, and educational technologies.
