Angela Sy University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA

Angela Sy conducts community-based participatory research (CBPR) in cancer disparities among Asian and Pacific Islanders (APIs). Her research interest is community engagement in developing, implementing, and evaluating cancer prevention interventions for APIs. She teaches research courses (research methods, CBPR, qualitative methods) and public health management courses (program evaluation, needs assessment). She received a Doctor of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Her publications include research capacity building, and human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and colorectal cancer prevention among APIs.
