'At last a book has been produced that explains the nature of occupational and organisational psychology. By combining sound academic literature reviews with contributions from experienced practitioners, and thoughtful advice on the ethics and skills of research, this is a "must read" for those either considering entering the profession, or currently studying the discipline' - Beverly Alimo-Metcalfe Professor of Leadership, University of Bradford School of Management
A must for individuals who are interested in occupational psychology, whether a student or an employer. It gives a good focus on the aspects of occupational psychology.
I especially like the idea "behind" - to bring together theory and practice - I will partly use it to let the students discuss differences with europe/german approaches
An excellent guide to human behaviour in work and organisational settings.
I think this is a good guide for students on the career management module and will be recommended reading.
This textbook provides a different perspective on managing people and brings together a number of eclectic issues. It has been good at provoking discussion on diversity.
This book is particulary useful for the community of teachers and students of psychology and humain resource management. It's very useful the exercises and the case studies.
It's easy to read it, because the writting is very clear.
this is a solid and well written book which has a good balance between theoretical insights and practical concerns, I recommend this as a text book to our students for two modules. The chapters on assessment and selection and leadership, as well as the professional practice aspects, are in particular very good.
Excellent book. I was one of the reviewers of this book and it is really good. Hope there is a second edition!
A good introductory text for students studying Organisational Psychology at undergraduate level
Very good book for students at all levels
This is an excellent book to introduce students to the concept of Occupational Psychology and what it involves. I have ordered a copy for the library as a recommended reference for our Psychology students. The book is written clearly and concisely and inculdes case studies and real life examples that add extra interest.
The book contains most 'taken for granted' issues which are fundamentally relevant for both students and practitioners in the field. Quite a good reference material.
Excellent coverage and accessible
An excellent text, which will provide an excellent resource to students in their 3rd year undergraduate or postgraduate HRM programme.
