Course is actually PSY 2335 Statistics for Professional Practice.
Textbook has good review of algebra. Layout is not crowded. It is designed so that non-statistics and even non-psychology majors can find it easy to deal with. Good exercises and examples. Does not appear too daunting for the non-traditional student.
The chapters and content were easy to digest.
Statistics Alive! is student-friendly and relatively inexpensive.
This text provided a user-friendly and easy to follow approach for a mixed class of undergraduate students.
Excellent book. It was good for the education and psychology graduate students in the course.
To have a common textbook across 3 instructors. Short chapters. Readability.
Easy to understand and lost of exercises!
This did not work for the class but I am using it as a resource for additional examples and quiz questions.
It was great! Very easy to understand and very well written!
It provides adequate depth of the subject matter without scaring off some of my math phobic students.
I will use this book as a complement for its statistical added value to a course of research design.
Text will appeal to certain masters students who do not have as strong a background in basic statistics as anticipated. A useful reference addition to the library collection.
a very helpfull textbook for students with practice execises - clearly and easy to read
I liked the format, the layout of the modules, the practice problems, and the online resources. All that was missing was reliability and validity (used often in the behavioral sciences)
Includes the information required to meet course objectives in an easy to follow format.
Great examples and sample problems.
Recommended reading for the students on PG research methods and copies will be bought for the library
This text seems to provide a good mixture of both the mathematical processes and the theory of statistics.
A great book that is easy to read, engaging and full of exercises. Ideal for undergraduate courses, especially since it starts with a math review module (which I found especially useful for my students) and develops statistical knowledge step by step. Very easy to follow, good layout - I will definitely recommend it to my students!
