This is a really good and useful book for anyone looking to work with young people. I found this really useful and have recommended it to other collegues who work with young people. It give clear ideas about mentoring and is a nice read.
An recommended book, highly reable and informative
It is an excellent book, but not right for the needs of the learners on this particular course. It has proved useful reading for those acting as mentors, but not those doing the course. I will be recommending it for those acting as mentors.
Easy to read and find the correct information
Easy to read and informative. I would recommend the book to moore experienced teachers who are asked to mentor student/new teachers as well as PGCE learners.
Succinct introduction to key issues.
This is a really neat book which is an all round 'good read'. Lots of great examples both from education and from the world of literature compel the reader to reflect on their own educational practice. Realistic guidance is provided in terms of professional development and innovation is strongly advocated.
Again another useful read, well structured and easy to follow. Helpful for exploring the role of the mentor and what it entails.
