Achieving QTLS Series
I have used this text in delivering behaviour management training for staff across the organisation. I have also used it within teacher training, specifically for the behaviour managment unit on the DTLLS programme. It offers a theoretical grounding which helps staff and students understand some of the common, and less common factors for poor behaviour; the text also provides updated strategies for dealing with behaviours to manage the learning environment effectively.
The text is recommended to our students and library.
Thank you.
A valuable text which addresses issues through clear discussions.
Chapter 10, Shackleton vs. Bligh provided an excellent opportunity to link leadership styles and motivation strategies to the classroom.
A useful resource for supporting those who want to work and are currently working in this sector.
Good guide to understanding principles and practice. Good source of information.
A very readable text and it relates heavily to the DTLLS programme and we will be recommending it as a reader to support the unit.
Explores some useful topics that novice lecturers in a range of settings will find helpful.
This has informed me with some new ideas and strategies for my "tool kit" in the classroom.
An excellent practical text book to support new teachers in a the area of behaviour management. This book supports with the module and assignment writing on the DTLLS programme , but more importantly offers practical ideas and advice on strategies to manage behaviour in own teaching - an area of increasing concern within the FE environment. Good to have a book which focusses on this topic for FE rather than schools
Another LM book that is very useful to trainee teachers on the PGCE. I use it as a resource within the class. It is clear and very readable. It has a practical base and provides stimulus for reflection as well as some practical solutions/ideas. Great Book.
