Very useful in class, great to reference from to support work for inclusive practice
This text will enable the students to enhance their understanding of the key concepts related to children’s' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. It will highlight key aspects of these areas and enable them transfer this knowledge to their studies of the holistic nature that Physical Education has to offer the individual child in Early Years and Primary settings; the physical literacy of the individual being a crucial element to their individual growth and development.
This book was pertinent to the PSHE elemnt of the course and compliments the RE PGCE module well. I found it to be of limited use on my module but suggested a chapter for my students to read under the further readings in module booklet.
uSED WITH ALL LEVELS, ESPECIALLY LEVEL 2 STUDENTS AROUND INCLUSION
this book really helped the students as one of their units was all about Spiritual and Moral development. They thanked me for giving them the resource and they asked the library to get some copies in. A few said that they would purchase this as it was a great resource.
A good informative read for educational students. A contrast to the other contemporary writes on this subject such as Kate Adams and Rebecca Nye. More needs to be written on this aspect of development in context of earlyyears
