Joy, Simy

Simy Joy Faculty fellow, Centre of Excellence for Social Innovation, Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources, Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode

Simy Joy is faculty fellow, Centre of Excellence for Social Innovation, Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources. She holds a PhD from Case Western Reserve University, USA. She has previously worked in the Indian finance sector in the areas of training and development, organizational restructuring and change management, and been a faculty in the organizational behaviour and HR area in University of East Anglia, UK.

She currently works with the Centre of Excellence for Social Innovation, Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. Her research focuses on social innovation and social enterprises that target inclusion and empowerment of marginalized and underserved groups and spans public, private and nonprofit sector organizations in India, Africa, the UK and the US. Her research has been published in reputed international journals and has attracted awards from international journals and international bodies such as Academy of Management, British Academy of Management and Family Firm Institute. She is a co-editor of the book Socio-tech Innovation: Harnessing Technology for Social Good.
