Lisa K. Waldner University of St Thomas, USA

Lisa K. Waldner completed her PhD in Sociology at Iowa State University in 1992. In 2001, she joined the faculty at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she teaches undergraduate courses in Research Methods and Statistics. She currently serves as Professor of sociology and Associate Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences. Her research publications are in the areas of interpersonal relationship violence, sexual coercion, antigay hate crimes, political graffiti, and right-wing extremism. She is a proponent of faculty-undergraduate student research collaboration and in 2006 received the university’s Undergraduate Research and Collaborative Scholarship award that recognized her work with mentoring undergraduate researchers. In 2015, she was named a John Ireland Presidential Scholar for outstanding achievement as a teacher-scholar. She and Betty Dobratz co-edited The Sociological Quarterly from 2012-2016.
