Kari A. O'Grady
Dr. Kari O’Grady earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and is a Psychology Professor with emphasis on resilience at the organizational and community level. She has published widely on organizational and community resilience and has been an invited keynote speaker for several institutions throughout the world. She has served as the departmental diversity chair at two universities and has taught courses on diversity and organizational resilience for several years. She has served as a board member for several organizations.
In her research and consulting, Dr. O’Grady helps organizations and communities understand how they may be creating, extending or exacerbating crisis through self-inflicted wounds, and how to leverage evidenced-based approaches to promote organizational and community resilience. Her field research explores social-ecological contributions to resilience in people and populations experiencing extreme-context trauma.
