Jeff Boggs Brock University, Canada
Jeff Boggs is an Associate Professor in Brock University's Department of Geography. He is also affiliated with Brock's MA in Popular Culture Program and its MA in Canadian–US Studies. He grew up in southern Indiana and attended Indiana University, where he fell into Economic Geography and examined the political economy of German reunification. In 2005, he earned a doctorate in Geography at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he studied Germany's political and cultural economy, with a special interest in first the aftermath of German reunification and later the locational dynamics of the German book trade. After coming to Canada in 2004, he switched his focus to the role of anglophone Canada's cultural policies on the locational dynamics of the country's book trade. Currently, he is writing about the role of subsidies in shaping the locational dynamics of Canada's interactive digital media industries.
