Heather M. Gardiner Temple University, USA

Dr. Heather M. Gardiner is associate professor in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Temple University. She also directs the Health Disparities Research Lab and the Office of Community Engaged Research and Practice. She earned a PhD in communication studies from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an MPH from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her program of research lies at the intersection of interpersonal health communication and organ and tissue donation and transplantation. Across these areas of research, a primary goal has been to improve the organ and tissue donation process in the United States and increase parity in access to transplantation.
