Andrew Leigh was professor of economics at the Australian National University. He published over 50 journal articles in the disciplines of economics, public policy, and law and over 100 opinion pieces. Leigh describes himself as an unrepentant “randomista,” which is what he calls researchers who use RCTs to tackle thorny issues of public concern. Leigh is also a politician, sitting since 2010 as the member of Australia’s Parliament for the Division of Fenner, a Canberra suburb.
