The textbook covers well research methods. The language is clear and easy to follow. The examples have a contemporary approach.
This is a very good textbook, however, it must be complemented by other textbooks to cover specific topics.

As intimidating as research methods can be to social workers who did not expect to be "scientists," this is an excellent text! I've adopted it and look forward to continue engaging students with it. Even during the review phase, I was asked by the publisher and author to review the text as a professor of Social Work; this attitude is obvious and prevalent throughout the textbook. Interactive, understandable, practice-oriented, ethics-oriented, diversity-oriented, and most importantly student-oriented. Fantastic text and worth reviewing for adoption in the very least!
