Issue Production

Adherence to issue due dates is imperative to ensure on-time issue publication, as this can affect your journal’s institutional subscriptions, impact factor, and subscription revenue. Please remember the following for smooth sailing through issue production:

Digital Products

SAGE provides researchers with a wealth of content on innovative, user-friendly online platforms. Find books and reference with ease on SAGE Knowledge, or compare complex data series with a few easy clicks on Data Planet.

The Sage Production Process

  • Communication: We are conscious of, and understand, how keen authors are to see their work published. Sage production staff maintain regular communication with journal editors and authors throughout the production process. In addition, email messages are automatically sent out to the corresponding author at key points along the workflow to confirm that their article has been received in production and to inform them of their article’s progress.

Sage Product Training

The Sage training team creates and delivers bespoke online training designed to support library staff, faculty, researchers and students using Sage Learning Resources.

Aligned to specific training needs, our sessions provide a straightforward introduction to our resources and platforms, demonstrations of content and functionality, with guidance on using Sage resources to their full potential in teaching and research.

On Acceptance and Publication

The SAGE production process

  • Communication: We are conscious of, and understand, how keen authors are to see their work published. SAGE Production Editors maintain regular communication with journal editors and authors throughout the production process.
  • Proofs: We will email a PDF of the proofs to the corresponding author. Please return corrected proofs as soon as possible, or by the deadline requested, so as not to delay the publication process.
