SAGE Announces Social Science Impact Writing Contest

SAGE Publishing has launched a new contest for social and behavioral scientists to share the real-world impact of their research and help make the case that research in these fields can and should be used to improve the human condition. Winning stories will be published on Social Science Space, an online network for the social and behavioral science (SBS) community sponsored by SAGE, and the authors of the stories will receive a $500 honorarium.  

Submissions must:  


GALILEO

Sage has an agreement with GALILEO to publish articles open access. The agreement for participating organizations will run from January 01, 2024, through to December 01, 2026. The details of the agreement are as follows: 

To qualify for the agreement, the corresponding author must be affiliated with either Georgia Gwinnett College, Mercer University and Morehouse School of Medicine and have an article accepted for publication between 1 January 01, 2024 and December 31, 2026.   


University of Malta

Sage has an agreement with the University of Malta to publish articles open access. The agreement for participating organizations will run from the January 01, 2024, through to the December 31, 2026. The details of the agreement are as follows: 

To qualify for the agreement, the corresponding author must be affiliated with the University of Malta and have an article accepted for publication between the January 01, 2024 and the December 31, 2026.  


Necmettin Erbakan University (NEU)

Sage has an agreement with Necmettin Erbakan University to publish articles open access. The agreement for participating organizations will run from January 01, 2024 through to December 31, 2024. The details of the agreement are as follows: 

To qualify for the agreement, the corresponding author must be affiliated with Necmettin Erbakan University and have an article accepted for publication between between January 01, 2024 and December 31, 2024.


Ireland (IReL)

Sage has an agreement with IReL, the consortium for Irish publicly funded higher education institutions to publish articles open access. Further information can be found on the IReL site.The agreement for participating organizations will run between January 01, 2021, and December 31, 2026. The details of the agreement are as follows:  


SAGE extends partnership with Load2Learn scheme delivered by RNIB and Dyslexia Action

Los Angeles, CA - SAGE today announced an extended partnership with the Load2Learn initiative delivered by the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and Dyslexia Action to provide books in an accessible format for the visually impaired and print disabled. From today, this partnership will enable all registered users access to over 2,000 SAGE books from across disciplines.


New competition for members of the Irish Association for American Studies

Adam Matthew sponsors new American Studies competition with collection access and £500 prize

(Marlborough, UK) Adam Matthew are pleased to announce a new essay competition in partnership with the leading association on American Studies in Ireland, the Irish Association of American Studies (IAAS). The essay competition is aimed at postgraduate students, early career researchers and independent researchers in the field of American Studies.



Lithuania

Lithuania is an eligible EIFL partner country for an EIFL-negotiated agreement with Sage through the EIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries) licensing programme. The agreement for participating institutions will run from April 01, 2021 to December 31, 2024. The details of the agreement are as follows: 

To qualify for the agreement, the corresponding author must be affiliated with one of the institutions listed and have an article accepted for publication between April 01, 2021 and December 31, 2024.


CSIC

Sage has an agreement with El Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) to publish articles open access. The agreement for participating organizations will run from January 01, 2024 through to December 31, 2025. The details of the agreement are as follows:
