Qualitative Research (General)
Excellent resource for developing an understanding of how to conduct interviews.
Very helpful guide to qualitative interviewing. Students will find absolutely useful while conducting interviews.
Steiner's text on 'doing interviews' provides a good overview of interview methods and is useful for undergraduate students.
Clear structure and sufficient depth. We liked the introduction of each chapter, the key points and further reading. Makes it easy for the student to find relevant information.
This is the standard 'go to' textbook for introducing students to interview research. Great for teaching with and referring students to.
Great book. Great that Kvale finally is published in English.
The book gives good introduction to doing interviews, so we will adopt parts of it as essential for the course.
I recommend this to all my undergraduate and postgraduate students embarking on interviewing as a data collection tool as it is accessible and thought-provoking as well as confidence building
I recommend this book to undergraduate students if they are considering interviews as a data collection option. It explores various and innovative approaches to interviews. Very useful.
Very informative and useful book for anyone considering using the interview as a qual. research method. It's not 'just' a practical book on 'how to do interviews', it has a very useful section on ethics in interview processes and epistemological considerations.
