This book helps adult nursing students to competently manage care of critically and acutely ill patients, and to recognize and deal with the early signs of deterioration. The book takes a practical real-life approach to care, with each chapter focusing on patients with specific problems, then interweaving the knowledge and skills needed to care for that patient.
New to this edition:
· two new chapters focusing on the renal system and endocrine system
· updates to include the latest evidence and guidelines from NICE
· refreshed activities and scenarios reflecting current nursing practice.
'The set of books is an excellent resource for students. The series is small, easily portable and valuable. I use the whole set on a regular basis'. Fiona Davies, Senior Nurse Lecturer, University of Derby.

responsibility and authority for Critical Care nurses in UK and in DK is to big.... the level is not high enough - maybe to basic.
Nice, clear and precise information. Easy to understand and relevant to course.
This is an excellent book for the undergraduate students. It's simple to read and relate theory to practice. The practice related learning activities throughout the book would be beneficial for the student nurses.
