In response to market demand, The SAGE Handbook of Social Psychology: Concise Student Edition has been published and represents a slimmer (16 chapters in total), more course focused and student-friendly volume. The editors and authors have also updated all references, provided chapter introductions and summaries and a new Preface outlining the benefits of using the Handbook as an upper level teaching resource. It will prove indispensable reading for all upper level and graduate students studying social psychology.

Layout of the book is too compressed which makes reading is unnecessarily difficult.
The title of 'Handbook of Social Psychology' is misleading as it does not include any mention of more modern viewpoints within social psychology but instead focuses on the cognitive approach. There is no mention of the split in social psychology in the chapter 'A century of social psychology' nor the rise in critical perspectives and criticisms of a social cognitive approach. While it covers main issues it is not as easy to follow for students as Crisp and Turner's book

This is an excellent resource for all or students. A real one-stop source of knowledge.
