Excellent book on the topic highly recommended
excellent book which discusses vocational learners in an in depth but uncomplicated manner. It offers up examples and solutions that could easily be adapted to the classroom, which helps when you are on placement. It discusses the curriculum and the associated issues regarding its design.
Some useful activities and strategies to pass onto colleagues working in the FE sector.
The book is well laid out with very good case studies that can be used effectively in teaching.
A good book but not essential. Supplements Ann Gravells' books on initial teacher training well.
This book will be a valuable text for anyone training and assessing vocational learners, both in colleges and in the workplace. There is valuable advice regarding engaging and motivating learners, involving employers, and the use of modern technology. The book’s case studies and reflective activities will help put theory into practice. It's written in an accessible language and follows the style of layout of other books in the series.
