This is a very useful textbook for new students
This is a clear, accessible but intellectually meaningful text, that understands the different demands, resources and expectations that student nurses may have, and provides them with a blueprint for navigating their way around the world of practice and academia without losing sight of real life. The chapters on time management and on reflection are particularly helpful.
Well written, easy to access information that will help those who feel their skills are a littel rusty and need a refresher. The use of the boxes for various things throughout the text made accessig the detail easy and logical. A very helpful and easy to use book that I know I will kepp dipping into and will be showing as a useful guide for my new starters. Thank you.
I have recommended for all pre-registration students in the new curricluim commencing Sept 2011 in the new learning to learing weeks one in each year. The content of this week is still being decided but essentially it is about study skills.
