Excellent introduction to this topic. Ideas are presented in a clear and logical manner. Each chapter includes (realistic) case studies and appropriate learning activities for students to complete (with outline answers also provided -which is not always the case in textbooks).

Manages to pack a lot of information into a compact and easy to read format.

This book aligns perfectly with most of the learning outcomes for our module. It aligns with what we are teaching our future nurses in regard to the essential knowledge and skills needed for person centred care planning. It is easy for students to understand and allows them to explore in more depth regarding not only the philosophy of care planning but the practicalities of care planning. It has helped students understand the importance of care planning, although they may not feel it is being done at times in practice understanding that we do it every time we meet a patient. It also reminds students of the evidence base behind care planning. It has a strong presence throughout the module.
