Beautifully written, and richly illustrated with vignettes, this book describes psychopathology in simple and accessible language. It contains helpful insights, useful resources and interesting questions. It is an indispensable survival guide for trainees and experienced therapists. I plan to recommend it to all my trainee therapists.
I enjoyed reading this informative, empathic and engaging book and am certain that it will become the ‘must have’ introduction to this topic and also ensure that all those involved in mental health promotion and support ( at all levels) will have access to a relevant, user friendly and informative survival guide.
I consider this to be a good book for undergraduate students. I think they would find the vignettes of particularly helpful.

Great book as an introduction to psychopathology. Readable, accessible and erudite with user friendly vignettes and exercises.
Difficult to read as print so small. However, the case points and vignettes were very valuable. I like the way the book is organised.
This book describes psychopathology well and in simple terms. It has helped students understand the term and understand the signs and symptoms of client problem’s. The case students are used in class.
This book is very useful for supplementary information while studying counselling. It helps to give students background information and understanding about a range of relative conditions
Quite an involved book that students haven't shown much interest in to date. However, i think they will get a great deal out of the book in year 3 studies when they consider forensic principles. I have found it useful in preparation terms with excellent assessment and diagnostic tools/principles. I will recommend the book again in year 3

Essential reading for students who want a straight forward text on issues and disorders in Mental Health. I would recommend this to students from level 3 upwards. Clear and concise, real life case studies. Everything you require in one book, easy referencing, straight forward language.
This is an accessible and up-to-date introductory guide. Clearly written and with excellent reading lists for each chapter. A very useful student resource.

This is a useful short introductory text for students and therapists wanting to gain an overview of the clinical aspects of mental health problems and the ways that they are likely to present in clinic. The therapeutic framework is integrative.
