`We have been lucky enough to hear Gavin speak twice in the last year and those of you who have also heard him will know that he is at the cutting edge of his field. This book really encompasses those areas that are particularly topical and the "buzz" words on everyone's lips! This book clearly sets out "who" is involved in inclusion and "what" is actually meant by learning styles. Gavin not only offers practical strategies but also suggests how "old hands" could vary their teaching styles to appeal to all types of learners.
The book identifies strategies for specific learning difficulties as well as inclusion for all. Easy to navigate.
My favourite part of the book was the introduction of practical activities which I could adopt and use with my learners as they begin to realise that they learnt in different ways, but also could adapt to the various learning environments.
A useful resource which gives an students an insight into learning styles, and how to cater activities for the individual child.

The book is clear and easy for a student to engage with. This book has been added to reading lists as a recommended text for the 7-14 professional studies programme as well as the 14-19 professional investigation reading list. Perhaps the size of the book could be condensed as A4 a littel cumbersome!
An excellent text covering all the essential aspects of 'Learning'.
This is a fantastic resource for our trainees as they build their knowledge and understanding of the learning cycle. However, it is a profitable read for everyone involved in education.
