The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society International Symposium on Human Factors and Ergonomics in Health Care is a focused, limited-attendance, interactive knowledge-sharing and networking event for professionals who address patient and provider safety research and practice.
The proceedings of the International Symposium on Human Factors and Ergonomics in Health Care contain papers based on oral and poster presentations at the event.
The symposium brings together human factors/ergonomics professionals and other stakeholders in both the scientific and practice realms of the health-care community to bridge knowledge gaps among them. The event features presentations in topical tracks (patient and provider safety, device design and usability, practice in clinical settings, and information technology), ensuring a varied and comprehensive program. Presentations include the latest research, best practices, regulatory content, and case histories on a variety of topics and perspectives in health-care human factors/ergonomics. Proceedings from an earlier symposium are available at http://www.hfes.org/web/HFESmeetings/2012hcsproceedings.html.
