Judit Simon Medical University of Vienna, Austria

Professor Judit Simon is a health economist and public health physician. She is currently Professor and Head of the Department of Health Economics (DHE) and Deputy Head of the Center for Public Health at the Medical University of Vienna in Austria, and Head of Health Economics at the LBI Applied Diagnostics. Previously she held positions at the LSE, UCL and University of Oxford in the UK where she remains Visiting Professor and Research Associate.

Her main expertise includes methodological and applied health economic evaluation research, (capability) outcome studies, cost/cost-of-illness analyses, health services and systems research and evidence synthesis with special focus on mental and public health and personalized care. She has authored more than 120 full-text scientific publications with over 2250 citations and has been principal/co-investigator of projects with a total funding over 32 million Euros including coordination of the H2020 PECUNIA project. Among others, she is founding board member of the ISPOR Austria Chapter, member of the Scientific Advisory boards of Statistics Austria and the Austrian Public Health Institute, and of the COVID-19 Task Force of ASPHER.
